BHCC | Postponement of the Annual General Meeting and Updates on Current Developments in view of COVID-19

Dear BHCC Members and Friends,

During the past few weeks, businesses and economies all over the globe are watching and trying to cope with the unforseen circumstances caused by the international outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.

Following the social distancing measures imposed by the Greek State, under which the organisation of events and gatherings is strictly prohibited, the BHCC Board of Directors is obliged to postpone the Chamber's Annual General Meeting (AGM) and Board Elections, initially scheduled to take place at the end of April 2020.

Αll developments referring to this pandemic will be closely monitored as this unprecedented situation evolves and the Board of Directors will revert on the announcement of the AGM's new date.

Even though our employees work remotely, the Chamber remains fully operational and committed to providing updated information and services to its members. Lina Dede (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and Louiza Stefa (This email address is being protected from spambots. We encourage you to communicate with us to report issues, queries and suggestions related to the UK market and we will make sure that these will be addressed properly to the relevant authorities, the British Embassy in Athens and the British Chambers of Commerce.

The BHCC being a strategic partner of the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), is in frequent communication with them to monitor the business developments related to the UK. For your convenience please also note that the British Chambers of Commerce has created a Coronavirus support hub, where you can find useful information on the coronavirus developments and actions in the UK. Of course, BHCC continues to closely monitor the Brexit developments and will inform you once substantial updates emerge.

In these challenging times, it is crucial all of us to remain strong and resilient, in order to overcome this difficult period the soonest possible.

All our best wishes to you and your families.

Kind regards,
The British Hellenic Chamber of Commerce
