Vangelis Apostolakis

Mr Vangelis Apostolakis is Deputy Senior Partner and Head of Advisory of KPMG in Greece.  He is a graduate of Operational Research and Evangelos ApostolakisComputing Department in Leeds Metropolitan University, U.K. (1983).  He also holds an MSc in Management Science from Southampton University, U.K. (1984).

He worked for one year in British Telecom in London during his stay in the UK.  In Greece, he started his career in 1987 as Management Consultant with Ernst & Young, dealing primarily with strategy, IT and reorganization of major enterprises.  He moved to ICAP Hellas in 1991 as an Executive Search and Selection Director.

He joined KPMG at the Advisory Management team in 1995, promoted to partner in 1998, to Head of Advisory in 2007 and assumed the role of Deputy Senior Partner since 2012 on top of his head of Advisory position. Concurrently, he is the Head of Markets and sales, the Staff partner for the Greek firm and the Chairman of the KPMG International People Services Network for EMA.

He has 28 years of experience having participated in and led a variety of engagements with local and international clients mainly in organization, systems development, formulation, strategy, business planning, process optimization, IT systems, etc.

A good part of his experience has gained in HR Management & Development (with HR Management Systems, Job Evaluation, Satisfaction Surveys, Training, Outplacement Services and Organization & Efficiency Services).

He frequently appears in the press with articles, interviews and studies on Management issues and has been invited to speak at a number of non KPMG conferences and events.
